Bungalow of President of Manipur State Durbar, Imphal, Manipur. These bungalows were built some time after the 1891 uprising and were not earthquake proof. The roofs were tiled and extremely heavy and upon the least suspicion of an earthquake it was customary to evacuate them with some rapidity.
